Responsibilities
-Track construction and installation of rail ties, switches, and other track materials
-Maintain/repair of tracks, culverts, and bridges
-Requires use of tools and equipment, maintenance and repair of equipment, and other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
-Must have a current class B CDL driver’s license, with a good driving record/history
-Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card, as part of pre-employment physical, to allow CDL Class B operation of vehicles between 10,100# and 26,000# GVW’s
-Ability to lift/carry and push/pull objects up to 75 pounds, walking on uneven surfaces, standing for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and work outdoors every day in all weather conditions
Employment Conditions
-Work safely to prevent on the job accidents and injuries, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment
-Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shift work
-Complete annual training and pass safety and track worker exams
-Must pass post-offer medical exam, drug screening, and background screening
-Requires random testing for dugs and/or alcohol
Company offers a competitive benefit package. Pay will be determined by qualifications.

Equipment Mechanic
Full-time Postion

Responsibilities
-Inspect, service, repair, and maintain railroad work equipment and hirail vehicles; both gas and diesel engines
-Compliance with FRA and safety regulations
-Perform FRA and DOT inspections
Minimum Qualifications
-High School or GED
-21 years or older
-Valid Driver’s License
-Four years experience as a mechanic
-Verbal comprehension, communication and reasoning skills, mechanical aptitude
-Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and climb on an occasional basis
Employment Conditions

PURSUANT TO SECTION 103 of the General Municipal Law, the Town of Hancock, County of Delaware, State of New York, will accept sealed bids for the care and maintenance of East Branch (new), Harvard and Partridge Island cemeteries in the Town of Hancock for the 2020 season as per specifications.
Bids will be received by the Town Board at the Town Clerk’s Office, 661 West Main Street, Hancock, New York until 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at which time the bids will be opened.
The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All bidders shall comply with Section 103-D of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York as it relates to non-collusive bidding. Non-Collusive bidding certificate forms and Bid Specifications may be obtained from the Town Clerk.
