NOTICE OF ELECTION

In accordance with section 15-105, subdivision 3(b) and 4 of the Village Election Law and ON MOTION of Mayor Morgan, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted:

1. That the polling place of the Village Election, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 will be at the Village of Hancock Clerk’s Office, 85 East Front Street.

2. That the hours during which the polls shall be open are from noon until 9:00 PM.

3. That the names and addresses of those who have been duly nominated for Village Office and those Certificate of Petition Nomination has been duly filed with the Village Clerk, and the office and terms of such office for which they have been so nominated are as follows:

Charlene Caramore, Hancock – Trustee – 2 years,

Dorothy Picozzi, Hancock – Trustee – 2 years

Herbert W. Buckley, Hancock – Justice -4 years

4. That the Village Clerk is directed to publish a copy of this Resolution in the official paper and post a copy of the Notice in at least six conspicuous public places within the Village at least one day before the Village Election and such notice shall be posted at each polling place.

TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held by the Village Planning Board on March 26, 2018 commencing at 4:30 p.m. at the Hancock Village Hall, 85 East Front Street, Hancock, NY 13783 to consider a Special Permit Application submitted by Russell Bass for a gas station and car wash at 593 West Main Street. Any person shall be entitled to be heard upon said proposed Application, a copy of which is available for review at the Village Clerk's Office. Persons with disabilities who require assistance in attending said public hearing, or in furnishing comments and suggestions, should contact the undersigned to request such assistance.

Sealed bid proposals will be accepted by the Preston Township Board of Supervisors, 1515 Crosstown Highway, Lakewood, PA until 9:00 a.m. prevailing time Thursday, April 5, 2018 for the following: 1000 ton more or less of 2A aggregate; 100 ton more or less of #2 stone; 100 ton more or less of #3 stone; 100 ton more or less of #4 stone. Two separate pricings sought for each aggregate: 1.) Pickup by the Township at plant; 2.) Delivered and tailgated to various job sites. All materials to be Penn Dot certified and approved by the Township. Proposals are to be on forms furnished by the Municipality. Bids must be accompanied with a CDL statement of compliance. Bids will be publicly opened at the Board meeting to be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Township Municipal Building, Lakewood, PA. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. The successful bidder must provide the Municipality with IRS Form W-9, certificates of insurance and payment and performance bonds in the amount of 10 percent of the contract within 20 days of the award. The Town of Hancock, County of Delaware, State of New York, will accept sealed bids for the new roof on the Hancock Town Hall as per specifications.

Bids will be received by the Town Board at the Town Clerk’s Office, 661 West Main Street, Hancock, New York until 7:30 PM Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at which time the bids will be opened.
