Book Club To Meet

Come join the Book Club on Thursday, May 18, at 2:30 P.M. at the Louise Adelia Read Memorial Library on Read Street. We are reading The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach. Copies are available at the library. It's the story of Henry Skrimshander, who is recruited by Westish Coege to play shortstop for the Harpooners. Henry is destined for big-league stardom when a routine throw goes disastrously off course, upending the fates of five people.

   Our June Book will be The Wright Brothers.

Deposit Historians Plan Craft Fair

 The Deposit Historical Society will host its annual "Olde Time Craft Fair" at the Museum on Saturday May 20, 2017. The fair will begin at 9:00 A.M. and end at 3:00 P.M.

  The Fair will include several craft dealers, a 50/50 raffle, food concessions, and music by "The West Branch Ramblers." The Ramblers will play from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M.

Pancake Breakfast Set In Lookout

Teeple Stevenson Young American Legion Post 765 hosts a Pancake Breakfast every second Sunday of the month from April to October.

The breakfasts take place at the Post home in Lookout, PA on Rt 191 North of Honesdale. They serve pancakes, blueberry pancakes, french toast, eggs, sausage, pastries, coffee, tea and orange juice from 7:30 am to 11:30 am. The requested donation is $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Please join the American Legion for a morning of good food and friendly conversation with your neighbors. Breakfast dates are , May 14, June 11, July 9, August 13, September 10, and October 8.

Cold Spring Chapel Hosts Pancake Breakfast

 Come and get 'em! Cold Spring Chapel's Community Kitchen will host its monthly free luncheon on May 20 from 11:30 until 1:30 and pancakes are on the menu.

  This fellowship luncheon will fill a request from many of our local residents and includes: pancakes, sausage, apple sauce, fried potatoes, crumb cake, cinnamon rolls, Danish pastry and fresh Pennsylvania maple syrup. Hot and cold beverages will also be available.

  It is a great opportunity to get out into the freshness of Spring and see old friends and just maybe make a couple of new friends as well as enjoying a great meal. The public near and far is cordially invited to attend. The chapel kitchen is located at the crossroads of Great Bend Turnpike and Upper Woods Road in Lebanon Township, Wayne County.

Breakfast In Pine Mill

The Pine Mill Community Hall, 919 Pine Mill Rd. in Equinunk, PA will hold a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, May 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30. The menu includes pancakes, plain or blueberry, cheese omelets (or eggs the way you like them), sausage, home fries, applesauce, juice, and coffee or tea. Adults: $8:00, Children 4 to 8 years, half portion; $4.00. child under 4, free. Pine Mill Rd. runs from Rte. 371 in Rileyville to the center of Equinunk.
