The Resolution published herewith has been adopted on the 25th day of April, 2014, and the validity of the obligation herein authorized may be hereafter contested only if such obligation was authorized for an object or purpose for which the Town of Hancock is not authorized to expend money, or if the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this notice, were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty  days after the date of publication of this notice, or such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the constitution.

A Resolution Authorizing the Issuance of a Bond
Anticipation Note or Notes
The Town Board of the Town of Hancock, duly convened in at a special meeting, does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to, and in accordance with, the provisions of the New York Local Finance Law, the Supervisor of the Town of Hancock be and hereby is authorized and empowered to issue and sell, in the manner provided by the Local Finance Law, a Bond Anticipation Note or Bond Anticipation Notes of the Town in an amount not to exceed Ninety Thousand ($90,000.00) dollars, at such rate of interest as the said Supervisor of the Town shall prescribe. Said Bond Anticipation Note is being authorized in furtherance of a Bond Resolution adopted by the Town Board of the Town on April 25, 2014.
The proceeds of sale of the Note may be used, together with the other available funds to finance the reconstruction, repair, and furnishing of the Town of Hancock Golf Course Clubhouse in and for the Town of Hancock, Delaware County, New York, including carpentry work, electrical work, refrigeration work, kitchen equipment, other improvements and replacement of building contents incidental thereto.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE
Pursuant to Section 506 and 526 of the Real Property Tax Law.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assessor(s) of the Town of Hancock, County of Delaware have completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year and that a copy has been left at the Hancock Town Hall, where it may be seen and examined by any interested person until the fourth Tuesday in May (May 27, 2014). A publication containing procedures for contesting an assessment is available at the Assessor’s Office.
The Assessor(s) will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll on the following days:
Monday, May 12th, from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Thursday, May 15th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Wednesday, May 21st, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Saturday, May 24th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
HEARING OF COMPLAINTS
The Board of Assessment Review will meet on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 between the hours of 6PM – 10PM at the Hancock Town Hall, in said Town to hear and examine all complaints in relationship to assessments on the written application, correctly filled out, accompanied with the required data of any person believing himself to be aggrieved.
