Soup Suppers Hosted BY Emory UMC

Emory UMC and St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church will once again be joining together to offer our Annual Lenten Soup Suppers, hosted at Emory United Methodist Church. Our Soup Suppers are each Friday during the season of Lent, beginning on Friday, March 7, from 4:30-6pm.
  Soup Suppers are offered for a free-will donation that is used to provide the meals, and all donations above that will be donated locally.

Book Club Meets March 20

The March meeting of the Hancock Book Club will be on March 20 at 2:30 pm. This month we are reading “Seabiscuit” by Laura Hillenbrand.
   As you may know this is a true story of the famous race horse that became a New York Times best seller and also was made into a movie several years ago. Please pick up a copy at the front desk of the library and join us for the discussion of this exciting book.

Soup Supper Set

The Lake Como & Shehawken United Methodist Churches will hold their annual Soup Supper at the Lake Como United Methodist Church, 377 Como Road, on Saturday, March 15, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
   Enjoy a variety of homemade soups, chili, salad, bread, homemade pie & ice cream for dessert. Take outs are available. Cost is free will offering. All are invited. Proceeds benefit the Parsonage Committee.

Legion Plans Garage Sale

American Legion Post 289 is planning a Garage Sale that will be held on Saturday, March 28. The event is open to vendors wishing to have a table for their goods. Contact Ray Wormuth or Don Ellis for a table or more information. The next Legion meeting will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, followed by some work time. We lack 2 members for 100 percent quota for 2014.
