A 2013 exhibit is planned to open on April 20th at the Wayne County Historical Society’s Main Street, Honesdale, PA museum to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Wayne-Pike Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. If you or a woman in your family was a member of this chapter and you have photographs, three dimensional objects, or documents which would help tell this one hundred year story, please contact Sally Talaga at sltalaga@gmail.com or leave a message at 570 253-3240.

Thompson UM Plans Seder

The Thompson United Methodist Church will host a model Seder Service.
Why is this Night Different? See, hear, taste, sing, participate and learn at the second annual model Passover Seder (dinner) on Wednesday, March 20, 7:00PM at the Thompson United Methodist Church Social Hall.
Kathy Shelly will conduct this special home service which involves everyone from eldest patriarch to the youngest child and feels very much like Thanksgiving dinner at Grandmas.
It’s a service like no other, in a relaxed, sometimes raucous atmosphere, where solemnity mixes with laughter and everyone’s questions are welcomed.
Come, find out how closely related Judaism and Christianity are.
Light Passover refreshments will be served.
All are welcome: Notice of attendance in order to provide refreshments to all is appreciated.
RSVP by March 15 at 570-756-2429 (leave Message).
   Free will offering cheerfully accepted.
