Wayne Historians Plan DAR Exhibit

A 2013 exhibit is planned to open on April 20th at the Wayne County Historical Society’s Main Street, Honesdale, PA museum to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Wayne-Pike Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. If you or a woman in your family was a member of this chapter and you have photographs, three dimensional objects, or documents which would help tell this one hundred year story, please contact Sally Talaga at sltalaga@gmail.com or leave a message at 570 253-3240.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper Is Feb. 12

As we enter the season of Lent, the Emory UMC will again host a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, on Tuesday, February 12, from 4:30pm-6pm. Please join us for a delicious meal of pancakes, bacon, sausage and eggs, and share in delightful fellowship! A free-will offeing will be taken, and as always, take-outs will be available.
We also invite you to join us each Friday during Lent, for a simple Soup Supper, hosted this year by St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church.

The Soup Suppers begin at 5pm, where you will enjoy homemade soups, breads and salad, as well as wonderful fellowship.

Attention: Historical Association Members

There will be an important meeting on February 6 at the building at 7 p.m.
Most important will be the insurance question. It costs us over $1,300 a year, which we cannot afford. We do not take in enough money to cover that.
Please make a point to attend.
