INVITATION TO BID
The Board of Education of the Hancock Central School
District invites sealed bids for roofing replacement at the
Louise Adelia Read Memorial Library.
Bids will be received by the Board of Education at the
District office, 67 Education Drive, Hancock, NY 13783 until
2:00 PM, May 19, 2009 at which time the bids will be
publicly opened and read aloud.
There will be a Pre-Bid Walk Through on April 29, 2009 at
2:00 PM. Attendance of bidders is not mandatory, but is
recommended.
Bidding and Contract Documents may be examined free of
charge at the following offices:

Initial and complete sets of the Bidding and Construction
Documents may be obtained on or after Monday, April 27, 2009
at RSA Architects and the District office following a
deposit of $100.00 for each complete set. A $12.00
nonrefundable charge for mailing shall be by separate check.
All checks for sets of the Bidding and Contract Documents
and for mailing charge shall be made payable to RSA
Architects. Checks must be received at RSA Architects before
Documents are available for pickup or mailing.
All Contractors who have paid the aforesaid deposit for an
entire set of Bidding and Contract Documents and who return
such sets to the Architects office in good, reusable
condition within thirty (30) calendar days after the opening
of bids shall receive a refund of such deposit for each set,
not exceeding three, so returned to the Architects office.
All documents must be returned to RSA Architects office to
receive refund.
Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the
instructions contained in the Information For Bidders. Bid
Security will be required for each bid in the form of a
certified check, or bid bond for 5% of the bid amount for
each separate contract:
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in
and accept or reject any or all bids.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within Forty Five (45) days
after actual opening thereof.
