RFP FOR MANAGEMENT AND LEASE OF
HANCOCK GOLF COURSE
Submission Requirements
1. The Town of Hancock is requesting proposals for the management and lease of the Hancock Golf
Course. The Hancock Golf Course includes an 9 hole golf course and clubhouse/restaurant. The Golf Course must be maintained as a public golf course.
2. A letter of intent must be submitted by all bidders and include the following:
a. A proposed annual rental payment to the Town of Hancock which will be due on or before
February 15 of each year.
b. A lease term from three to five years. The term of the lease will be subject to negotiation.
c. The qualifications and experience of the bidder to operate a facility of this kind. All qualifications and experience must be enumerated in detail, including previous employment
positions held by bidder in the golf course business and any other relevant experience.
d. A plan for the day to day maintenance of the Golf Course and the related facilities.
e. A estimate of the number and function of employees.
f. The hours of operation, opening date, and closing date.
3. The successful bidder will hire and pay its own workers and all New York State and Federal
fees associated with employment policies.
4. The successful bidder will pay all utility costs, including electric, cable, water and sewer.
5. The successful bidder will be required to defend and indemnify the Town of Hancock against all actions and must carry a minimum of $1,000,000.00 liability insurance naming the Town of
Hancock as an additional insured and must be deemed acceptable by the Town Attorney.
6. Bidders may include any other items not covered to help in determining the award.
7. The Town of Hancock will:
a. Maintain ownership of the course and all structures.
b. Maintain roadways to golf course.
8. Any proposed alterations of the Golf Course, the related facilities or equipment must be approved in writing by the Town Supervisor.
9. The successful bid must be approved by Town Council, which reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
SUBMISSIONS
All submissions should be sent in care of Melody Oliver, Town Clerk, 661 West Main Street, Hancock, NY 13783. Respondents should submit, at minimum three copies of their proposal. Proposals are due by the 5th of January 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at Town Hall.
SELECTION
The chosen bidder must have demonstrated skills managing and operating projects of a similar nature and scope.
The amount of lease to be paid to the Town.

LEGAL NOTICE
Notice of Tax Roll and Warrant
TAKE NOTICE that I, the undersigned collector of taxes of the Town of Hancock, Delaware County, New York, upon receipt of the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes for the fiscal year 2009 will be in attendance at the Town Clerk’s Office, 661 West Main Street, Hancock from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., and from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays during the month of January, starting January 4, 2010, for the purpose for receiving the taxes listed on such roll.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2010, without charge or interest. On all such taxes remaining unpaid after January 31, 2010 there shall be added interest of one percent of the month of February or fraction thereof until such taxes are paid or until the return of unpaid taxes to the County Treasurer pursuant to the law; provided, however, if the last date for payment of taxes shall occur on the last day of February or in the month of March, there shall be added interest of one per centum for the month of March or fraction thereof until the return of unpaid taxes to the County Treasurer pursuant to the law.
