The meetings will be held at the Village Clerk's office, 85 East Front St., Hancock NY at 7:00 PM.

FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
Proposed Base Flood Elevation Determinations for Various Communities in Delaware County, New York
The Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency has issued a preliminary Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) reflecting new or modified Base (1% annual chance) Flood Elevations (BFEs) within Delaware County. Technical information or comments are solicited on the proposed and proposed modified BFEs shown on the preliminary FIS and FIRM for Delaware County. These BFEs and modified BFEs are the basis for the floodplain management measures that your community is required to either adopt or show evidence of being already in effect in order to qualify or remain qualified for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program. However, before the BFEs or modified BFEs are effective for floodplain management purposes, you will be provided an opportunity to appeal the proposed elevations. NOTICE OF FILING
Hancel, Inc., d/b/a Hancock Video, has filed with the New York State Public Service Commission for a ten year renewal of the Cable Television Franchise to operate and maintain a cable television system serving the Village of Hancock.
As in the past, this franchise agreement includes the procedures adopted for obtaining a franchise and the execution of the agreement to ensure compliance with all Rules and Regulations of the New York State Public Service Commission for Cable Television entities.
The Franchise Agreement is available for review during business hours at the Hancock Telephone Company Business Office, 34 Read Street, Hancock, New York 13783. Legal Notice
At the December 8, 2009 meeting if the Board of Trustees of the Village of Hancock, the following resolution was offered by Trustee William Schoonmaker, seconded by Trustee Karol Mech who moved its adoption:
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees must designate by resolution and publish the offices which are to be filled in election and terms thereof:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1. That the Board of Trustees designated the following offices are vacant at the end of the current official year to be filled at the Village Election to be held on March 16, 2009, for the following terms:
Trustees - Two (2) for 2 years
Justice - One (1) for 4 years
Section 2. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to publish this resolution in full in the Hancock Herald.
Section 3. this resolution shall take effect immediately.
